Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Easy AuctionTools cost?
Please check our home page at
http://www.auctiontools.net for the latest price. You will see it near the
bottom of the main page.
Are there any monthly fees, per item
costs, etc?
No, once you have purchased Easy AuctionTools there are no
additional charges. Of course you still pay your normal eBay fees as you have
in the past.
Is there a difference between the
trial version and the registered version?
No, the trial version is identical in every aspect except that
the trial will cease functioning after 30 days.
Will I be charged if I don't cancel
the trial?
No. The program will expire at the end of the 30 day demo
period? If you want to continue to use it you need to make payment through the
registration screen.
Can I purchase before the end of the
30 day trial?
Yes, though we ask that you configure and test the program
before purchasing to be sure it suits your needs.
How can I remove the trial from my
system?
If you decide you do not wish to purchase Easy AuctionTools
you can use the Windows Add/Remove Programs control panel to remove it, then
delete the directory it was installed in.
How many computers can I install my
registered copy onto?
If you use Easy Auctiontools for yourself you can install it
on all your own personal computers. Even if you have multiple userids on Ebay.
You cannot install it on anyone elses computer. If several people use Easy Auctiontools
in a network environment you need to have purchased a copy for each computer
it's installed on. If Easy Auctiontools is installed at several locations
with different employees using it you also need to have purchased separate copies.
My auction data is important to me. How do
I protect it?
Easy Auctiontools comes with a database backup utility. It will run
when you exit the main program. Save the backup file to a safe location, you hard drive
floppy drive, zip or CD recordable drive. The file can become quite large so
it's not always possible to save it to floppy disk. You can also manually
save the database file. The file containing your data is called AT.MDB.
I use AOL, Juno, MSN, Yahoo! Mail,
HotMail or some other non-SMTP based email service. Can I still use Easy
AuctionTools for emailing?
Yes. Go to the Help / Contents menu to bring up the Help file,
then selecting the Emailing section. Scroll down about half way in that topic
and you will see how to set up email for AOL users. This also applies to the
other services mentioned.
Do I have to list my items using Easy
AuctionTools?
No, you may list your items using any method you wish and Easy
AuctionTools will then import them from Ebay.
My auctions won't import. What's
wrong?
If you are not seeing any auctions import, take a look at the
status line at the bottom of the screen to see what it says. You can also go
to the Browser tab and click the Last Import button to see if eBay gave an
error. When contacting support about any importing problem we will need this
information, as well as the version number you are using.
Why do I see "Requestor not the
seller" on the Last Import page?
Use the Sign Out link on that page, the do the update again.
This will happen if the cookie from a previous import is different to the
current cookie. This could be due to switching between multiple userids, or
from signing in from multiple browser windows.
Why don't I see my descriptions?
In order to give you the fastest auction importing,
descriptions are not imported as part of the main import. You can quickly see
the item description by highlighting the auction on the Multi List View then
clicking the Browser tab. This will display the item page on eBay which is
available for 45 days after the auction ends. You can import individual
descriptions using the Get Description buttons on the Import toolbar.
